Highway Accident Causes Temporary Disruption on Sangli-Kolhapur Route

A late-night road accident on the Sangli–Kolhapur highway caused temporary disruption on Tuesday when a speeding sedan collided with a stationary truck near a sharp bend. According to police, traffic stopped moving slowly as emergency crews managed the scene, with vehicles inching forward under controlled diversions.

Officials said at least 7 minutes were involved in the disruption before conditions stabilized, and no fatalities were reported. Authorities have begun an inquiry to assess whether low visibility or driver fatigue contributed to the incident.
